Project CRISS
Creating Independently Owned Student Strategies
Participate in the national effort designed to help students in grades 3-12 improve their reading and writing, and learn more effectively in all academic areas. Please read about Project CRISS strategies on the What Works Clearinghouse.
Learning outcomes include:
- Become familiar with the CRISS framework for teaching and learning.
- Learn and experience specific strategies for reading comprehension.
- Learn and experience specific strategies to engage learners across contents.
While there is no cost for Title II consoritium members to attend the workshop, there will be $70 fee, which will cover the cost of the Project CRISS manual, Fourth Edition, Revised 2011, which provides tested examples to actively engage students in contextual materials and online access.
The non-consortium cost to attend this workshop is $350 per person per day, plus an additional $70 to cover the cost of the Project CRISS manual and online access, for a total of $770.
This is a training for a certificate. Participants MUST attend both days in their entirety.

This is a two-day training. To be fully certified, participants must attend both days fully.
