Cutting down stress while in college and managing your life
What is Stress?
Stress is defined as a state mental tension and worry caused by problems in your life, work, etc. Anybody can feel the effects of stress and when you are a college student and also have regular life concerns to deal with it can seem overwhelming. Well before stress becomes a bigger problem lets talk about some ways that we can cut it down.
Can cause Pain
Stress is a mental disorder but can cause physical pain. Such as headaches, back pain, and insomnia. You don't want to let stress become physical. When it starts to affect you in a way that is hurting you, you may need to go get help.
Don't just let it go, take stress seriously!
Lets get Physical
Working out for 20 minutes a day is a great way to reduce stress. Whether it is high impact or some light cardio, doing some exercise throughout your day will reduce stress in your life. Also eating healthy and cutting out some of the junk food will help reduce your stress.
Learn to breathe
You need to relax sometimes and take a couple of deep breaths. Sometimes taking a couple of steps back from a situation and take 10 deep breaths will help.
Learn to say NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need to learn to take time for yourself. Do not make your day so busy that you cannot take some time for yourself. Also try not to be negative when you say no. If you need time for yourself take it.
Learn to breathe
Learn what are your stressors.
For each person there are different things that stress them out. Some people handle things better while others will just freak out. The best way to stop stress before it starts is to know what stress's you out.
