It is hard to believe that there are only 9 school days left until the holiday break. We have lots of activities planned to keep the students busy at school until December 22nd. Our very popular Kids Only Shopping Room will be opening for two days next week on Monday, December 19th and Tuesday, December 20th. There is information below including the schedule of classes scheduled on each day. The funds raised from this event support student activities in the school throughout the year. Thank you to all of the families that have donated household items, toys, stuffed animals, gift wrap and bags. We are still accepting donations until Friday, December 16th. We appreciate all of the help as we could not run this event without the support of the staff and school community. If you are able to help with gift wrapping on either day the Shopping Room is open, please email Mrs. Nitschke (nitschkek@limestone.on.ca).

The school is still looking for adults willing to volunteer in our library for an hour and half each week from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm or 12:50 pm to 2:20 pm. Thank you to those that have already volunteered. Please reach out to Mrs. Nitschke at the school if you are interested in supporting this initiative. We are excited to reopen our Library and Makerspace in the New Year.

December can be an enchanting and special time of year for some, but it can also be a very difficult month. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at the school if you need support.

The Kids Only Shopping Room will be open to classes on Monday, December 19th and Tuesday, December 20th. The schedule of when your child's class will be shopping is below. Most items will be sold for $1 or $2 with a limited number of larger items being sold for $5. The children will purchase their gift(s) and a volunteer will help them wrap them up to take home to put under the tree as a surprise. Please send money with your child on Monday or Tuesday (based on the schedule below) if you would like them to have an opportunity to shop.

A recent assessment conducted by KFL&A Public Health has found that a number of kindergarten students in our area do not have an immunization record on file. Don’t forget that you must submit your student’s immunization record to KFL&A Public Health when you register your child for Kindergarten. Visit www.kflaph.ca/ImmunizationReporting if you have not yet provided your student’s immunization record.
