EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT
Central Office Communication: Week of June 12, 2022
SUPERINTENDENTS UPDATE
Egg Harbor Township School Community,
We have made a turn around the corner where there are two weeks of school remaining. The finish line is in sight, yet there is still work to be accomplished before getting there. It is important that students get to school on time, attend class, and abide by the rules and regulations of the school. Please check your child’s school calendar for upcoming events.
Please join me in communicating concerns about election polling places being held in school buildings to local and state legislators.
We have communicated reminders to staff and students about the importance of School Safety and Security. It is important for all to be vigilant and do their part in keeping our schools safe. All visitors must report to the main entrance where they will be required to show an ID.
Be sure to learn about our new bell schedule for the 2022-23 school year.
We are in need of bus drivers and food service workers. If you know anyone who would be interested in driving a school bus, please have them contact our Transportation Department at 609-927-2443.If you know someone who would like to work in our cafeterias, please see our website to apply. We also need folks to assist in the classrooms as paraprofessionals.
We are committed to improving student achievement when we EMBRACE, ENGAGE, and EDUCATE the students of the Egg Harbor Township School District. #EHTPride

FREE COVID-19 TESTING SITES & RESOURCES
FREE COVID-19 Testing Sites and other links to COVID-19 resources in the State of New Jersey, Atlantic County and surrounding counties can be accessed through the following LINK.
STUDENT HEALTH AFFIRMATION
Every student attending EHT Schools must submit a health affirmation form. This form should be reviewed and completed by a parent/guardian and submitted on the first day of school. We ask that in an effort to maintain a safe and healthy environment, you assess your child(ren) every day prior to school and keep them home from school if symptoms are present.
Forms in both English and Spanish are accessible at the following LINK.
Please monitor your child or children for Covid like symptoms prior to sending them to school every day. As per the district health affirmation, Covid-19 like symptoms and Covid-19 situations related to contact tracing, testing and diagnoses are seen in the image above as a reminder. In addition, if a child in your home is exhibiting Covid-19 like symptoms, not only should they remain home and follow-up with their health care provider, but siblings should also remain home and follow the same protocol.

CLIMATE, CULTURE and #EHTPride
CLIMATE, CULTURE & #EHTPride
We are dedicated to learning together, growing together, and healing together within a positive school climate. Celebrations of recognition and reward for achievement, even the littlest steps, will occur in all of our schools as we value the importance of appreciation and respect. We have a lot of #EHTPride in taking care of our students and showcasing their achievements.
We are committed to setting a foundation of culture in our school that includes respect for diversity, inclusion and equity for ALL students and staff. To empower our school community to be positive, supportive, patient, and understanding. To unify all members around one central goal that includes nurturing a strong culture that allows students, teachers, staff, and community members to flourish as individuals and as a community.
With Every Hand Together, Every child, Everyday is provided a relevant learning experience. Our teachers collaborate in professional learning communities to review student progress in order to provide ALL students with the opportunity to learn at high levels. We know that in order to successfully educate each student, we must be cognizant of each student’s individual learning needs. This can only be accomplished if we work together to eliminate any predictability of achievement disparities by race, ethnicity, gender, language, disability, and/or economics. All faculty and staff participated in equity training during our professional learning days. Together, we can achieve more!
