Principal Message
The weather is beginning to break and students are quickly getting anxious to get outside! The month of March begins are time to start the State End of Course exams. Students will be testing in 7 different academic areas: English I and II, Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, American History and Government. Students are also required to take a College Entrance exam, Valley View uses the ACT.

FFA Banquet
The 84th annual FFA Banquet will be held on Saturday March 10th. The evening will begin with dinner which will be followed with the annual live auction to help raise funds for various FFA events. The awards ceremony will immediately follow the auction. The evening will be filled with highlights and awards from this past year. Students will be recognized for their efforts in Career Development Events, Supervised Agriculture Experiences, Maintaining high Scholarship records, and earning the various degrees the FFA can bestow on it's members. The awards ceremony will conclude with the installation of the 2018-2019

Senior Citizen Luncheon
The High School Student Council will be hosting their annual Senior Citizen Luncheon again this year. Senior Citizens can contact the office at 855-4116 to reserve their seat.

Academic Team
The Valley View High School Academic Team concluded league competition on Saturday. The Spartans ended the season in 3rd place in the tournament but was 2nd overall on record. The team also placed 1st in the Dayton Preble Miami League (DPML). Team members are Em Brewer, Alex Michael, Ian Barnett, Sam North, Riley Skiles, Adam Valenti, Ben Holbrook and David Roach.
Ryan Leaf Assembly
The Germantown Drug Coalition is sponsoring a anti drug assembly on March 21 at the high school. There will also be an evening presentation at Germantown First Church of God starting at 7:00pm. Mr. Leaf is a former NFL quarterback who has battled addiction to opiates.

Professional Development
The High School teachers participated in a Mental Health training on February 16. This was a full day training that certified staff in educating students who have Mental Health issues. The program was put on by the Montgomery County Alcohol Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services. (ADAMIS).
Pennies for Pasta
Valley View High School participated in the annual Pasta for Pennies campaign during the first couple weeks of February raising a little of $1600 in donations for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All profits raised through this program go toward research efforts to find new treatments and ultimately a cure for blood cancers.
FFA Students Qualify for State!
Colin Johnson and Lane Murphy received notification that they qualified for the State Troubleshooting CDE. This will be held March 1 and March2 in Columbus. Troubleshooting is a tractor repair CDE for Agricultural Education students.
Dodgeball for Diabetes
The Valley View Interact Club will be hosting the annual Dodgeball Tournament March 23 at 1:00pm. Team are organized by all Male, all Female or co-ed. All proceeds go to the Diabetes Foundation.
