60 SECONDS WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT
Strongsville High School recently received a $20,000 grant from GPD Group to fund a Makerspace area in the new Media Center. Part of the grant helped purchase several high-tech machines to provide our students with hands-on experience. Click HERE for this week’s ‘60 Seconds’ feature - we visit with Industrial Technology teachers Mr. Hogan and Mr. Hardoby. Both teachers are helping students utilize these routers, engravers, and carvers to produce one-of-a-kind creations.
MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. TERRIE MIZERIK, INTERVENTION SPECIALIST AT THE EARLY LEARNING PRESCHOOL
Mrs. Terrie Mizerik is in this week’s Mustang Spotlight. ‘Miss Terrie’ - as she is known to her students - is an intervention specialist working with our youngest students at the Early Learning Preschool. She has been working in our District for 17 years and has spent her entire time working at the preschool.
Mrs. Mizerik has also been a resident of Strongsville for 25 years. She and her husband have raised their two sons in Strongsville. Both of their children are graduates of Strongsville High School and The Ohio State University. Mrs. Mizerik also earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, as well as a graduate degree from Cleveland State University.
“I enjoy being able to be a part of our student’s daily lives and watching them learn and grow,” said Mrs. Mizerik. She adds, “Being part of a small school is an advantage - we get to really know and interact with each of our students. And we have a great team at the preschool!”
Thanks Mrs. Mizerik for providing our students with a positive experience as they begin their learning journey in Strongsville City Schools!
