Special Board Meeting Nov. 30 - Elementary Rezoning
The rezoning is needed as a result of the new Elementary #3 opening in Canyon Falls at the start of the 2022-2023 school year. The meeting will be live-streamed to the district's YouTube Channel.

RECORD-SETTING EAGLE BAND!
The Argyle Eagle Band is now in a class all by itself!
In record-setting fashion, the Eagle Band won the University Interscholastic League Class 4A Marching Band State Championship on Nov. 10, 2021 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
This marked Argyle High School's eighth state championship which vaulted the Eagles to becoming the winningest band in state history regardless of classification.
"This is a testament to the generations of students, staff, administration, parents, and community that pour their love into the program." Argyle ISD Director of Bands Jason Bird said. "We are humbled to come home with the eighth state championship for the Argyle Band."

BGPC Update: Committee Tours Facilities
Last week the committee meeting included a tour of the district to access the campuses and facilities. The next meeting - Thursday, Nov. 18 - will include a financial update from the district and the district's financial advisor.
Mrs. Erin Turek Named Teacher of the Month at AMS - Congrats!

Argyle ISD Eagle Partner, Kimberly Boales with the Impact Group - Keller Williams sponsors the AMS Teacher of the Month Program. This month she presented Mrs. Erin Turek with her gift and certificate for being chosen as the Teacher of the Month.
Congratulations Mrs. Turek for this honor!

Argyle Education Foundation Hires Director of Development
The Argyle ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors has approved Cara Armstrong to lead the Foundation's fundraising efforts as its new Director of Development. She began with the district on Monday, Nov. 15.
Mrs. Armstrong brings more than 13 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising to her new role. Some of her primary tasks will include fundraising, donor relations, marketing and community relations.
Mrs. Armstrong came to AEF from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation where she was the Sr. Director of Development for the North Texas Chapter. Prior to that, Mrs. Armstrong was the Marketing and Media Relations Director for Texas Health Resources Huguley Hospital.
Mrs. Armstrong earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of North Texas. She and her husband, Ryan, have been married 10 years, have two children and live in Canyon Falls.

COVID-19 Cases - Reporting & Dashboard
Argyle ISD is providing a COVID-19 dashboard to keep parents, staff, students and the community aware of the positive case totals at the campuses. The dashboard is updated by 6 p.m. each school day. The numbers are based on only cases confirmed through documentation with campus nurses.
PLAYOFF GAMEDAY: Eagles Face Kennedale in Area Round
The playoff will kick off at 7 p.m. at Chisholm Trail High School's Ranger Stadium in Saginaw. The game will be televised live on CW33.

Lady Eagles Finish Memorable Year
Under first-year coach Taryn Hill, the Lady Eagles had an impressive run in the playoffs and fell one victory shy of a state tournament berth. The Lady Eagles finished the year 31-13.
