Principal's Message
A sincere thank you to everyone who helped create Art Ball last week! It was an amazing event and I had a fantastic time observing all of the beautiful artwork that our students created.
This was the last week of Chess Club. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped make it such a success. It was a highly popular club with over 90 members.
Have you heard about our upcoming Food Drive?
Chapman students will be working with LiftUrban Portland to try and collect 2,000 pounds of food! For every pound that we collect, The Turner Team will donate 25 cents to Chapman. You may drop off your non-perishable food items at Chapman before May 31, 2017.
Thank you for supporting our effort to reduce hunger.

Chapman is participating in the Fire Up Your Feet Activity Challenge to help inspire families, students and staff in creating active lifestyles. Fire Up Your Feet’s activity tracking website lets families and staff log their physical activity such as walking, playing, bicycling and more. If our school has the most participants at the end of the Challenge we can win an award for our school! Participating is easy, register at fireupyourfeet.org, and start logging your activity today! Don’t forget to check out the Fire Up Your Feet family friendly activities, healthy lifestyle tips and educational resources.
If you have any questions, ask Ms. Ariel the Fire Up Your Feet Challenge coordinator.
Thanks!

A Message from the PTA President
Dear Chapman Families,
As many of your know, next week is Staff Appreciation Week at Chapman. During the week, staff will enjoy a breakfast buffet, ice cream from Salt and Straw, a taco bar lunch and a snack buffet!
Thank you to the many families who have already signed up to bring in food or to donate their time. There are still opportunities for families to donate. On Monday, we would love to have more baked goods and fruit as well as plates, cups and napkins. At both campuses, we would love to have more people to set up and clean up.
Please contact me- ctmarten@yahoo.com -or sign up here.
Thank you,
Christy Marten
