In 1917 madam c.j. Walker donated the largest amount of money to the construction of YMCA. Madam c.j. walker was dealing with hair lose because of her hair products and stress. Madam C.J. madam c.j. walker was not her real name her real name was sarah breedlove but she changed it. her daughter was a slave back in December 23, 1867 delta, louisiana to owen and minerva breedlove.
