What is Histoplasmosis? Histoplasmosis is a infectious deisease classified as a fungi and is spread by inhaling airborne spores of this fungus. Most people who are exposed to this fungus do not develop this disease due to the fungus is found mainly in soil from bird and bat droppings that decade into the soil.
Symptoms and Signs of Hiptoplasmosis
The main symptoms are Chest pain, Chills, Cough, Fever, Joint pain and stiffness, Muscle aches and stiffness, Rash (usually small sores on the lower legs) a and Shortness of breath.

Incubation Time- 3-17 days
Treatment for cure- A prescribed drug called Itraconazole, and depending on your immune system it can take 3 months to a year to be cured
Prevention strategies- It's very difficult to avoid this fungi if you are in areas where it is wide spread but the best ways are to, Avoid exposure, Spray contaminated soil, and Wear a mask that could prevent you from inhaling it.
