Who is Apollo?

Apollo was the son of Zeus and Leto. Zeus was the God of the Sky. Leto was the Goddess of Childbirth. Artemis was Apollo's twin sister. Hermes was Apollo's half brother. Apollo was the God of Music, so he is sometimes shown playing a golden lyre. He was an archer, and is sometimes shown shooting his silver bow. He was also the God of Light, so his most important daily task was to harness his four-horse chariot. He did this in order to move the Sun across the sky. Apollo was the God of Healing and showed man medicine. He was the God of Truth and can never tell a lie. He was also the God of Knowledge and Poetry. Apollo was the Purifying God. He purified people who had committed a sin. Apollo had four children which were Asclepius, Troilus, Aristaeus, and Orpheus.
