For Black Americans with Diabetes, Tooth Loss is a Major Problem
Did you know that tooth loss is a major problem for Black Americans with Diabetes? I bet this is true for anyone with a chronic illness. Stop and think about it for a minute. If someone has multiple sclerosis, high blood pressure or even fibromyalgia, depending on the amount of medication they take, the side effects could be more damaging than what is known.
Outside of people having a chronic illness, dental procedures costs to start with. Many people don't have dental insurance. Those who have dental insurance discover their policy doesn't cover most of the procedures that they need.
This particular article is stating the same fact when it comes to Black Americans that have diabetes. They lack access to dentists and many don't have dental insurance. Are you aware if you don't take care of your oral health it can impact your entire life?
Have you ever seen someone who couldn't smile? Have you ever thought this could keep you from getting a job? What about if you happened to be in college and you had a tooth issue, could it stop you from taking classes? Let me share this, there's nothing like a toothache to shut down a speaking engagement.
Let me caution you!! If you are someone who needs dental services, do not delay. The longer you wait, the worse your teeth can get. That is a fact.

Senate Voted to Repeal Obamacare's Cadillac Tax
Did you see, the Senate has voted to repeal Obamacare's Cadillac Tax?
Do you know what the Cadillac Tax is? Time for class. The Cadillac Tax is an excise tax on high cost health plans offered by employers. Beginning in 2018, health plans that cost more than $10,200 for an individual or $27,500 for a family plan will be subject to the tax, which is 40% of the amount that exceeds those thresholds.
The "Cadillac Tax" is a 40% non-deductible excise tax on employer-sponsored health coverage that provides high-cost benefits.
Can you see why employers would stop providing health insurance? WOW!!
HAVE A PLAN B, C, D, E alll the way to Z!!

Where Will Dr. Taffy Be....WORKING ONLINE
The majority of this month, I will be working online!!
There's so many people needing help all over the U.S., I am helping those who have already contacted me. I am also working with small business owners and self-employed.
I was talking with a small business owner yesterday, who shared her latest new hires stated their previous job didn't provide any health insurance. Sounds like at least 10 people left because they needed some benefits.
If you are reading this and are a business owner, be sure and contact me about our non-traditional plans. This could be the difference between your keeping your "TOP" employees(contractors) and having to train someone new.
The enrollment period for traditional health insurance ends on January 31, 2016. With our plans, we can enroll at any time. What a NICE GIFT that would be for the holidays.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to write me at ericandtaffy@ownyourhealthcare.com.
You can also call me at 303-576-0670.
