Issues Facing GT learners
mythbusters
3 ideas I learned...
1. Kids don't look to GT learners as role models, in fact, struggling students confidence can be harmed by the success of GT leaners.
2. All children may have special gifts, but that doesn't make all children gifted.
3. Even if a student is gifted academically, that doesn't mean that are gifted socially and emotionally.
Calling all Questions
1. How can educators learn to praise GT learners academic successes, without making them seem superior to other average learners?
2. Where can I go to find activities and lessons to offer an academic challenge for my GT learners?
Action Required
Work with the GT coordinator on campus to provide extention activities for GT learners and for challenge based activities that can be modified to meet the needs of average learners.
