Virtual Parent Forum: Title 1 Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), provides financial assistance to schools to help children from low-income families ensure that they meet challenging state academic standards. Family involvement helps low income students earn higher grades, have better social skills, receive their diploma, and pursue higher education opportunities. We will be holding a special Title 1 Virtual Parent Forum on Monday, February 7 at 7pm. Join Chief Academic Officer, Kelly VanLaeken, for a discussion about Title 1 services in the district, and how parents with students receiving Title 1 services, like academic intervention, can support their students. Registration is required to attend. To register, click on the link below: Register for Title 1 Virtual Forum on Feb. 7 at 7pm. | GCYT Presents Matilda, Jr Gananda Community Youth Theater (GCYT) proudly presents Matilda The Musical Jr. with our 5th-8th grade cast. TIES Program
Promoting participation in extracurricular and community activities, the TIES (Together Including Every Student) program provides effective support for children and young adults with developmental disabilities.
The program, sponsored through Gananda Central School District, is currently seeking both volunteers to help participants with developmental disabilities join activities, and participants who want to learn about their community and have fun with peers. Students in grades 8-12 are eligible to volunteer in the program, and youth between the ages of 8-21 are eligible to participate in the program.
Visit the Gananda website for more information and to fill out an application.
If you are interested in volunteering, participating, or have questions about TIES, contact TIES Coordinator Jennifer Letendre or ganandaties@gananda.org.
