Then moved to shooting fashion for HarperĀ“s Bazar
Father owned a clothing store called Avedons 5th avenue
This is why he got into shooting fashion
Saw a man shooting a lady wearing a dress infront of 5th avenue and then later saw the picture on HarperĀ“s Bazar... this is when he realized he wanted to pursue fashion.
Later on ended up establishing his own studio and contributed photos to Vogue, Theatre Arts, Life, Look, and Graphis.
Dropped out after one year

1989 received a honorary doctorate from Royal College of Arts in London
