Letter from the Principal
Glendale Families,
See you later 2021! I hope that each of you have had a good experience during the first semester of the 2021-22 school year. Although 2021 presented a variety of challenges, I believe that our students and our staff will be better because of our experiences. We will learn, adapt, and grow to be even better moving forward. We are very proud of our student body, our staff, and our community for the great accomplishments at Glendale during this unprecedented time. We are proud of our student’s academic achievements, as well as our co-curricular, and extra-curricular successes. Thank you so much for your support of our students, staff, and this community. We want each and every student at Glendale to have a positive experience. We want each and every student at Glendale to be successful. We will continue to work toward creating a great environment, and look forward to what 2022 will hold!
As we start the new year, it is an opportunity for all students to either continue the amazing things that they are doing, and also an opportunity for students who might need a fresh start. New years, are new beginnings, a great time celebrate accomplishments, and plan for improvements. We want to do both, and want our students to do so as well. Together, the Glendale Family, and your family can make 2022 the best year ever!
You and your student matters to me, and the entire Glendale team. Thank you for the amazing support that you show to our school each and every day. GO FALCONS and remember that Flock IS Family!

Letter from the PTSA President
Happy New Year, Glendale Families!
It is so hard to believe that 2nd quarter is over, 2021 has come to an end, and 2022 is on the horizon! I hope this letter finds you well and eager to start a new year! January begins nominating season for GHS PTSA. If you are interested in serving as a committee chair or officer, please let us know - we would love to have you! Being part of GHS PTSA is both fun and rewarding!
Your GHS PTSA has been busy this quarter with Teacher & Staff Appreciation lunches, Spirit Committee fun, selling our Discount Cards, and the kickoff of our Capital Campaign - did you get your letter in the mail???
The GHS PTSA Capital Campaign is our MAIN fundraiser, and ALL money raised goes directly to our teachers and students. Teachers may make requests for books, supplies, or anything else they need in the classroom; and GHS PTSA, with your generosity, can grant these requests. Capital Campaign money is also used to show our appreciation for our teachers and staff by providing lunches and other gifts throughout the school year. Here is a copy of the letter that was sent via US Mail to all GHS families just before Thanksgiving containing all the details - including 3 EASY ways to donate. *There is no expiration date for donations, but we would like to try to have them in by the end of the year* Thank you for considering a donation to GHS this year! We are thankful for our awesome community of Falcon families!!! Please help us reach our goal to raise $10,000 this year to support our wonderful GHS teachers and students!
We have an amazing school family at Glendale, and I am delighted to be your President again this year. If you have any questions, please contact me at glendaleptsa@gmail.com or via Facebook message. We would love to have you at our meetings, which are the 3rd Friday of each month at 8am in the GHS Library Conference Room and via zoom. Our next meeting will be January 21, 2022.
Thank you so much for all y’all do for Glendale! Blessings to you and yours this holiday season and in the new year!
Sincerely,
Katie Vance

Glendale A+
The A+ Program provides scholarship funds for eligible graduates to attend most Missouri community colleges and technical schools. In addition, several four-year Missouri colleges and universities offer their own scholarship for A+ qualified students. Last year our A+ graduates could earn as much as $10,000 towards their college tuition and general fees.
Glendale makes the A+ program fun by providing promotional activities and events each school year. Each year we have around 50% of graduates qualify for the A+ program. For more information about the Glendale A+ Program, students can check out their A+ CANVAS course which lists A+ Program Resources, visit the A+ website or follow us on Twitter @glendaleAplus.

Seal of Biliteracy Test
Is your student proficient in more than one language? If the answer to this question is YES, then he or she may qualify to take the Seal of Biliteracy test which can earn up to eighteen free credit hours at qualifying universities. The GHS Foreign Language Department will be administering a test of biliteracy (the AAPPL exam) on Wednesday, March 2nd in the library. If you are proficient in both English and another language, please come talk to Señora Dinamarca in room 324 to see if he or she qualifies to take the exam. The deadline to register is 2/16/2022.
