Biography of Babe Ruth
Babe Ruth was born with the name George Herman Ruth Jr. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 6, 1895. He was one of 8 other kids. Ruth and his sister were the only ones who lived. He wasn’t doing so well and getting into trouble so his parents sent him to St. Mary’s Industrial School. When he started playing baseball professionally, he got the nickname “Babe.” If you didn’t know Babe was a baseball player. He played for Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees. Babe remains one of the greatest baseball players that have ever lived. He was inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. He held more than 56 major league records. He also made 714 home runs in his career. He also has taken his team to the World Series, and they won the World Series games.
