Hays Band News

Week of Sept. 7th - Sept. 11th

Read all about it!

Beginner Band parents, the band staff has been impressed with the calm and patient approach of all our band students. Please ask them to demonstrate "Prep to Play" for you this week!

Daily practice time should continue to be spent on pass off objectives (found in Google Classroom), Rhythm Rockers, and Master of the Alphabet. Remember, ALL band students will be required to demonstrate weekly objective pass offs. The objective pass offs are located in Google Classwork under the "Classwork" tab. These pass offs will be prepared weekly and passed off via Flipgrid video at the end of each week. Students can attempt pass offs as many times as necessary in order to achieve the desired grade.

Concert Band/Symphonic Winds parents, your children are making great progress! Please ask them to perform "Colliding Visions" for you. We are also reading lines from the book going through a 4 step process. We would love for them to show you.

Virtual Learners

Our primary form of communication is through email. Mr. Aune will send a weekly band newsletter, usually on Fridays, to inform you of upcoming dates and any important information you need to know.
