In the English class, we explained students our Catalan traditions and history, as for example, el Patufet, el Caganer... they were very interested!
We also joined the class of religious studies, maths and music class. In the music classroom we were amazed about the amount of musical instruments they had: electric guitars, flutes, drums, trumpets, clarinets... etc.
In the afternoon, we presented our school projects to the teachers of the high school. We also sang two traditional songs
Thursday 4th November
At the beginning of the day, they start about a 5-minute mediation about a topic That that was about Rose Parks and racism. We were surprised when one student arrived late and she had to wait till the end of the reflection.
We joined more lessons: FInnish. Students had to write a story and to get inspired, the teachers handed out several books and they had to read how the story started.
In the afternoon, we visited the ALTO CENTER, built by the famous architect: a church, a library, the town hall. In the church, the organist played for us
Friday 5th November
We jobshadowed: history and maths lesson.
In the history class, students presented some posters about the Independence of Finland from Sweden, at the age of Napoleon and the Russian Tzar.
There were several comprehesion questions and the students that guessed them, were very motivated as they were given the chance to throw a ball to a target.
