Southview's Parent Newsletter

August 15, 2022

Off to a great start!

What a phenomenal opening to our 2022-2023 school year! Our scholars were eager to be back in the building and they were welcomed in some very creative ways. Let me say thank you for your patience, suggestions and for being so flexible on last week, especially in traffic. Things will get smoother each day.

Please reach out to us anytime at (R. Amerson, Principal) or (T. Bivens, Assistant Principal).

Arrival and Dismissal

Parents, thank you for your patience in the car rider line. We need your help and cooperation to ensure safety. Please have students ready to get out promptly upon arrival. For the older and more independent students, they do not have to wait until someone opens the door. Please pull down as far as you can and keep the traffic tight. This will help the traffic flow smoothly. Please DO NOT get out of your vehicles. Stay in the car rider line. If students wish to eat breakfast, they must arrive by 7:55.

Please stay in the traffic circle at all times and use the carpool name tags. Please DO NOT get out of your vehicle to retrieve students. This is a safety issue. If you continue to do this, you could be banned from the premises. Please place car tags on a pants hanger in the review mirror if possible or place it on the passenger side of your vehicle. Once we get to know the vehicles and all of the students' faces, it will get smoother. Thanks for your patience.
