Message from the Principal
Good afternoon, JAJHS Families,
It sure is nice to get some glimpses of spring weather, isn’t it?
As students were off today, our teachers worked on projects such as collaborating with other teachers on supporting students through transitions between buildings and working on curriculum-related activities. We appreciate the time to focus on making our building and district even better for our kids!
Our track athletes have enjoyed their first week of outdoor conditioning and are enjoying moving into track season!
As a reminder, we have two weeks left in the 3rd Quarter. Please be sure you and your student are checking Canvas for updates on grades and progress. 3rd Quarter Report Cards will be sent home with students on Friday, March 31st.
Finally, remember our Spring Break will be from Monday, March 20th, through Friday, March 24th.
I hope that you and your family have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Mr. Malany
Principal

Pioneer Planners
Having a student planner is an essential part of success at JAJHS. Planners are used as hallway/restroom passes. In each class, teachers explicitly share with students what reminders to write in their planners. We believe that developing these executive functioning skills are an important part of helping students grow.
As we enter a new semester, this is a great time to check in on this. Please ask your child to see her/his planner. If it has been misplaced or is not in a functional condition, replacement planners can be purchased in the JAJHS office for $5.00 with checks being payable to “Jonathan Alder Junior High School.”
Thank you for your help with developing this important life-long skill.
