Last Call for Homeroom Parents!
We are looking for Homeroom Parents for each class! The primary responsibility of Homeroom Parents is to work closely with the teacher in organizing the 3 class Socials for the 2023/24 school year. All Socials run for 1 hour from 2-3 PM. Prior to each Social you will create a letter to be sent home to all parents in your class (an example will be provided). This is usually sent from the teacher directly to the parents with your name as contact. The Socials include time to complete a craft, play a game and enjoy a snack. You will coordinate these activities as well as a maximum of four parent volunteers who may attend and help with each social.
If you are interested in becoming a Homeroom Parent for your child’s classroom, please fill out the Google Form below by Friday, September 15th. One Homeroom Parent will be selected per class. Parents can only be selected as a Homeroom Parent for one classroom per school year. All Homeroom Parent questions/concerns should be directed to the HSA Board at board@salfordhillshsa.org. You will be notified on September 18th if you have been selected.
Homeroom Parents are responsible for organizing and supervising the 3 classroom socials throughout the school year:
· Fall Social on Tuesday Oct. 31st at 2pm
· Winter Social on Friday, December 22nd at 2pm (*Date change*)
· Valentine's Day Social on Wednesday, February 14th at 2pm
As always, we appreciate your willingness to help at Salford Hills!

C.R.O.P.S Garden Success!
Our Salford Hills C.R.O.P.S. Garden flourished all summer long thanks to the help of more than 35 families! After families had the opportunity to swap (or simply take) fruits and veggies, the rest of our produce was donated weekly to Keystone Opportunity Center, a food bank in Souderton. Our garden really highlights what a “caring community of learners” we have, just like our school song says! Thank you to all the helpers who made this growing season so successful.
Interested in helping next spring/summer? No experience necessary! Look for a bright green flyer in the spring seeking families to help.
