Safety --
Each month we practice different safety drills like an evacuation in case of a fire or in case of a tornado. Another form of safety drill that we practice is if there is an intruder or something happening in the school where we need all kids to stay in their rooms. Teachers work with the students to learn about strangers and how we can stay alert and listen for directions in the event that there is an emergency. This week we practiced an educational lockdown where we keep the halls clear and continue learning. We also will practice an intruder drill as well as where our rally points are. Rally points are locations around the school that students meet at in the event that we need to evacuate the school for any safety reason.
Safety is a top priority at school. We practice and talk all the time about how we can be safe. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns you have about your child or school.

Notes from the Office
Abrams Family Tree: Abrams Elementary has a tree in the lobby. We would like to have the students help decorate the tree by decorating an ornament. Every family will receive a blank ornament to decorate. Ornaments will be sent home on November 22nd. This is not a contest and there are no prizes. We would simply like to have every family represented on our Abrams Family Tree. Be sure that your name is displayed on one side of the ornament.
