PACK BEATS HARRISON 49 to 47
Friday night we had a huge home region contest against the Harrison Hoyas. We played exceptionally well this night from a defensive perspective.
We only allowed 47 points on the night and won the game due to our defensive effort. We went down early 22 to 11, but after a timeout we came out with
a will to win the basketball game. Our cohesiveness and energy on the defensive end was unmatched in the 2nd quarter as we got into the half down 27 to 22. IN the 3rd quarter we struggled early but went on a huge run towards the end of the quarter to keep the game a five point contest at the end of the 3rd. Our enthusiasm and basketball IQ blossomed in the 4th quarter as we continued to get stop after stop on the defensive end and get quality shots on the offensive end. We tied the game up with 1:25 on the game clock after getting a stop we received the basketball back. We ran the clock down to 11 seconds before Chad Terrell made a huge shot to put us ahead by 2. After numerous timeouts we came up with a huge defensive stop to win the game in front of a electric atmosphere.
Ethan Reid was on a mission scoring 20 of our 49 points for the game. Ethan also provided 3 assists and 3 rebounds on the night, while giving us that competitive edge throughout the night. Chad Terrell scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Chad was a game changer also on the defensive end throwing in 3 blocks for the night. Tyler Spayde played another proficient game scring 5 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. McCoy Etienne, Luke Dabbelt, Gunner Williams, Josh Burke, and Nick Mathurin did a great job on the defensive end in this contest. It was a big win but now it is time to focus on our rival as we travel to their place Saturday night.

PACK DROPS EAST PAULDING 80 to 71
Saturday Night we traveled to East Paulding for a big non region matchup. After a emotional win Friday night we came out of the gate and played well from a defensive standpoint early on in the game. We won the basketball game because we were able to slow the pace and play our game on both sides of the floor for the majority of the game. We won the game 80 to 71 and I was very proud of the way our team withstood the runs that East Paulding made throughout the game. We went into the half up 34 to 33, which made the pace very much in our favor. After coming out of the halftime we played solid basketball on both ends before dominating the 4th quarter to help us win the basketball game. We shot the basketball really well shooting 44 % from the 3 point line. We also did a great job withstanding the East Paulding defense and creating scoring opportunities that suited us best.
Chad Terrell played had a incredible effort putting another double double on the board. Chad scored 16 points and pulled down 15 rebounds on the night. Chad made big baskets throughout the game to keep us moving forward in our progression. McCoy Etienne was a big spark to us on the offensive side of the basketball scoring 15 points and handling the ball efficiently. McCoy was 3-4 from 3 point territory and he also played terrific defense down the stretch. Josh Burke really hit some 3 point field goals for us going 4-6 from downtown. Josh ended the game scoring 14 points and he did a terrific job bringing positive energy all night long. Freshmen Luke Dabbelt played proficient on both ends of the court. Luke scored 12 points and pulled down 4 rebounds. Luke brought a ton of energy to the game on both ends of the floor. Gunner Williams continued to play well scoring 12 points, but more importantly grabbing 7 rebounds from the guard position. Ethan Reid scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds, while being a true leader for us at all times. We are back on Tuesday for a huge region game against North Cobb. We hope to see you there.
PACK Drops a Close One to Kennesaw Mountain 68 to 62
Tuesday night we traveled to Kennesaw Mountain High School to take on the Mustangs. We came out with a very solid game plan and had a solid defensive effort especially early on in the contest. We battled and went into the half down 36 to 31. After the half Luke Dabbelt sparked our defensive effort and we were able to close their lead to 49 to 45 to end the third quarter. During the 4th quarter we went back and forth, but in the end we came up short with a final score 68 to 62. It was a solid collaborative effort but not with the result we wanted.
Chad Terrell poured in another double double on the night scoring 21 points and adding 13 rebounds to the cause. After a slow start Chad bounced back with explosiveness on both ends to help with our efforts. Ethan Reid had a proficient game from the point guard slot scoring 13 points, grabbing 8 boards, and delivering 5 assists. Ethan continues to be a solid leader on and off the court for us. Gunner Williams played with a bounce in his step on the defensive end, while also scoring 10 points for us.
