Team:
This semester has truly flown by. I can speak for the new administration when I say we are proud to work with a group of folks whom are focused on creating a positive academic environment for our students.
There's been a lot of new for many of you. I appreciate the positive attitude you've taken through all the change. Change is hard. However, we don't want to be comfortable in our work. We want the same thing for ourselves that we ask of our students: to push a little harder.
Bones don't grow without pressure. Muscles don't grow without tearing. A brain doesn't grow if you don't stretch it. The heart, lungs...all of these things need stress to improve. This goes for our craft.
Continue to find ways to grow. I will commit myself to growing as your principal. I will be better this spring than I was in the fall. I'll be better next year than I am right now. I will grow with you.
On a less serious note...next Thursday (Dec. 20) we will have a staff party. Sign up to bring a snack on a document sent by Ms. Brown. Check the invite from Mrs. Shortes. If you want to participate in the white elephant gift bring a gift ($20 limit). Next Friday (Dec. 21) is Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. StuCo will judge and the winner will get a prize. We will take a staff picture. The more to participate...the better it will be!
Be intentional about engagement!
