The Journey
Once you have made the decisions to travel the trail you will need to know a few things.
Supplies
To survive the tail, you will need many things, including 600 lbs. of flour, 120 lbs. of biscuits, 400 lbs. of bacon, 60 lbs. of coffee, 4 lbs. of tea, 100 lbs. of sugar, and 200 lbs. of lard.
Tools
To survive the trail, you will also need tools, including guns, knives, and farming tools, such as a shovel and a scythe.
Native Americans
There were two main native american groups on the trail, the Cheyenne, and the Pawnee, though you will expect them to attack, they will mainly help you instead.

Work
Of course, its not all easy. Men and women had specific jobs, as well as children. Men were to assist the wagons, fur trap and hunt. Women were to do the same thing, however not many did, instead they often did chores such as cooking and cleaning. Children often assisted with chores, such as herding, milking cattle, and washing clothes and dishes.
Hardships
Unfortunately, pioneers faced many hardships that hindered their progress the most common problems were just simple actions, though rivers and weather, as well as disease could also strike.

The Trail
The Oregon trail is a 2200 mile large wheeled wagon route. Traveling 13-17 miles a day the trip usually lasted about 6 months. Most people would leave in April or May so they would arrive in September or October.
