Today in AIM
3rd grade AIM
Today in AIM was like being in a Greek school of architecture. After starting class with a quick design of thaumatropes (yes, that's actually a word), we moved into our study of Greek architecture. We studied Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian architecture with a specific study on their design of columns. After our extensive look at the different design styles, each group competed against each other to create specific columns based on the various design elements. The winning team got the "contract" for the new Greek column order in our class. It was a fun day and the kids did an amazing job showing their understanding of the different Greek designs.
