NATIONAL SCHOOL BREAKFAST WEEK
Eating a healthy breakfast is an essential part of students being ready to learn each day. In fact, national studies show that children who eat breakfast reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math; score higher on standardized tests; and have better concentration and memory. To celebrate National School Breakfast Week, from March 6 - 10, the Osseo Area Schools Food and Nutrition department will hold a hidden “Golden Ticket” promotion for children who eat school breakfast.
Each site will receive a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card to the student who receives the “Golden Ticket” with their breakfast on March 7th. At the end of the week, a grand prize “Golden Ticket” will be randomly distributed with breakfast at one elementary and one secondary school. One lucky elementary student will receive a Galaxy Android Tablet and a secondary student will receive a pair of Galaxy Ear Buds.
Multilingual Summer Programs
Registration is now open for the ML Summer Programs! Please share program and registration information with students and families.
- Multilingual Summer Academy (MSA) is for students currently in grades 1-4 and is open to any multilingual student.
- EL Summer Club is for students currently in grades 5-7. (Students currently receiving EL program services only.)
- EL High School Summer Program is for students receiving EL services currently in grades 8-12 (preferably 12th graders who will return in the fall).

Blind Date with a BookFebruary is "I Love to Read" month and one way we celebrated that was with our Blind Date With a Book promotion. The purpose of this activity is to challenge students to read a book they may not have chosen for themselves, that’s why it’s a “blind date”. Students get introduced to books, get prizes and have fun. | Bookmark Contest At North View Middle School, we are committed to developing a love for reading in each student. To do this we work hard to find the right book for each student. This includes trips to the media center, book recommendations by teachers, and activities like our yearly bookmark contest.
