NATIONAL SCHOOL BREAKFAST WEEK
Eating a healthy breakfast is an essential part of students being ready to learn each day. In fact, national studies show that children who eat breakfast reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math; score higher on standardized tests; and have better concentration and memory. To celebrate National School Breakfast Week, from March 6 - 10, the Osseo Area Schools Food and Nutrition department will hold a hidden “Golden Ticket” promotion for children who eat school breakfast.
Each site will receive a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card to the student who receives the “Golden Ticket” with their breakfast on March 7th. At the end of the week, a grand prize “Golden Ticket” will be randomly distributed with breakfast at one elementary and one secondary school. One lucky elementary student will receive a Galaxy Android Tablet and a secondary student will receive a pair of Galaxy Ear Buds.

Blind Date with a Book
February is "I Love to Read" month and one way we celebrated that was with our Blind Date With a Book promotion. Students get introduced to books, get prizes and have fun.
Every student NVMS student is invited to celebrate books, reading, and art by participating in our annual bookmark contest, Participants compete for prizes and a chance to see their printed bookmark designs featured in our library. Click here to see this year's winners!
