Thank you for Participating
Every month we provide ways for our student body to participate in inclusive activities that celebrates so much in the way of a sense of belonging within our school community! Sometimes all we ask for families is to dress in a certain color and others we ask for families to participating in an after school activity. But as parents, we know that is often easier to say than to pull off!
Our school thrives as a community school when we all pitch in and do what we can on the days we can! Check out my PreK team that went all out for Puerto Rico for the Hispanic Heritage Month close out event. This made my heart smile for many reasons!
I truly appreciate the lengths parents go to allow their children to engage in the school as a collective group. As a mother of 4 who are now grown adults, I know all too well that simply wearing a color or even dressing out or returning the correct paper to school is not as easy at it seems. What I do know, is that those of us who do make it happen for our kids, are noticed! Parents we notice you and thank you!

How Can I Help?
Have you noticed the updated parent newsletter? There is a new section How Can I Help At Home? In this section, teachers are providing activities and resources on how to support your scholar at home to ensure success. Helping at home benefits families as well. Your interest in your children’s education can spark their enthusiasm and lead them to understand that learning can be rewarding and is well worth the effort.
NOT ALLOWED: Bringing Candy to School to share.
Did you know that students are to NOT bring snacks or candy to school? As we approach the upcoming holidays, it is important to remind parents and families that candy, desserts, baked goods (store-bought/homemade), or any other edible items are not to be sold or distributed at school or on the bus unless approved in advance by the school administration. More detailed policy information will be provided in this week's Thursday Folder.
