PLEASE COMPLETE THE FAMILY SURVEY !
ENDS FEBRUARY 23RD
Complete the Panorama Education Family Survey
The family survey closes Friday, February 23 and we want to hear from you! Please take a few minutes to complete this survey as results will be used to improve your student(s) learning environment. When we talk about creating a culture of belonging for all students, partnering with our families through survey feedback is crucial to understanding our strengths and learning how we can best support our students.
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. You can view previous survey results under the School Culture tab.

Summit Jeffco - March 2nd
A Day Without Hate
A Day Without Hate is a student-led, grassroots organization that promotes nonviolence,
respect, and unity within our schools. Help your child join his/her fellow students
district wide to help end school violence and promote peace. By encouraging students
to be tolerant, friendly and kind, and teaching them that there are non-violent solutions
to problems, hopefully as a community we can create a better world.
The price of the T-shirt is $6 for both youth and adult sizes. Please make your check payable to the school and return your order form by Friday, March 8th, 2024. Your child will receive his/her shirt by the week of April 15th and can be worn on Thursday, April 25th for Jeffco students or Friday, April 27th for other districts.

Attendance Policy
Please Read the Attendance Policy:
The knowledge and skills that will be gained in educational courses highly depend on participation in class learning activities. Students are expected to attend and participate in all class sessions unless in the case of illness or a valid reason for missing.
To be counted as attending, the student is present in class meets and participating at least 50% of the time, in accordance with Colorado State law. Participation may include, but is not limited to:
Cameras on during attendance and direct instruction. If the camera is out of service, this must be communicated to the teacher in a timely manner.
Un-muting to speak or using Chat in Meet or Google to respond to class discussions and instructor inquiries, including work time in breakout rooms.
Showing evidence of completed work/assignments during class meet time.
Joining breakout rooms when assigned in a timely manner.
Active use of Chromebook with enabled keyboard to engage in class work.
If a student leaves class early or must miss class due to one of the excused absence reasons listed below, or due to internet/technical issues, they must be called in by a parent or guardian through the attendance line (303-982-6996).
From Jefferson County Board Policy:
A student’s attendance will be changed to “absent” and noted as unresponsive in Infinite Campus if participation is not given for at least 50% of the class time.: If a student is having difficulties meeting the requirements, they should reach out to the instructor to discuss options for meeting the learning requirements necessary to earn credit in the course.
Excused Absences:
A student who is temporarily ill or injured or whose absence is approved by the school administration on a prearranged basis. Prearranged absences shall be approved for appointments or circumstances of a serious nature only, which cannot be taken care of outside of school hours.
A student who is absent for an extended period due to physical, mental, or emotional disability.
A student attending a funeral or to legal obligations.
Unexcused Absences:
Unexcused absences are defined as absences not covered by the foregoing exceptions. Each unexcused absence will be entered on the student's record. The parents or guardian of the student receiving an unexcused absence will be notified by the school of the unexcused absence.
The District may initiate judicial proceedings to enforce compulsory attendance if a student is absent four days in one month or 10 days in one year. 6 Tardies = 1 absence
Elementary Skills Workshop - February 28th
Grub Club
Grub Club: In 2015, there were more than 2,400 students in Jeffco Schools who didn’t have a permanent home or a hot meal to go home to at night. As educators we know this affects their ability to perform in the classroom, and as human beings we know what this can do to a student’s spirit. Every spring, we lead Grub Club in order to ensure all students experiencing homelessness or emancipation in Jeffco can have food and hygiene products throughout the school year.
Grub Club 2024 JCEA, JESPA, and Jeffco PTA will partner up again with the Jeffco Action Center now through March 8, 2024 to help ensure our students have food. We have expanded our collection of items through monetary donations. A $25 donation fills 1/4 of a box of goods. Any monetary donations helps fill a box for a student in need.
