Mrs. Johnson's and Mrs. Lawlor's Kindergarten Class

We are learning...

Reading and Language Arts: We have been reading books about "Winter" this week. I think ALL of us are hoping for snow! We read: Winter by Melvin and Gilda Berger, The Biggest, Best Snowman by Maregery Cuyler, When Will It Snow? by Lisa Broadie Cook, and Happy Birthday, Martin Luther King by Jean Marzollo.

Math: We are learning different strategies for addition. We talked about using manipulatives, making tally marks, using a number line, and counting on. We will move on to subtraction next week!
