A Message from our Superintendent
Dear Galena Park I.S.D. Parents and Guardians,
While this certainly isn't the way any of us could have seen our Spring 2020 semester transpiring, I am grateful for staff who go above and beyond to ensure our students' needs are met, and a community of students and parents who do their best to continue life as best we can.
As you know, GPISD is following mandates from our local, state and national officials regarding when to reopen our schools. Per Governor Abbott's order, Galena Park I.S.D. will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, but will continue to do everything in our power to meet the needs of our students, staff and community.
I heard some good news the other day--the social distancing protocols and Stay Home, Work Safe order seem to be having a positive effect on minimizing the spread of COVID-19. I urge you to continue to follow these practices, as we want to limit the damage done by the virus in our area. Thank you for your support as we continue to fulfill our mission of preparing our students to become productive citizens and lifelong learners.
Yours Truly,
Angi Williams, Ed.D.
