Lisa Dailey, Directora

Principal's Message

Greetings HMS Families,

I can’t believe the year is halfway over. We’re kicking off the new semester with an assembly, recognizing the great things that are happening and to kick off Black History Month.

Thank you for your help in encouraging your student to report bias and hate speech - I appreciate the partnership to make our school a safe and welcoming place for every student. The reporting form will remain linked in every newsletter.

PSO meets virtually this week and I hope you can join us. Last week they hosted a fun night of Bingo. Watch for another Family Engagement Night coming soon.

Have a great weekend!

Lisa Dailey, Principal

Community Meeting

Quarterly we have an assembly at Hazelbrook to honor and celebrate things happening in our school community. This Monday February 6th we will have a special schedule for a morning assembly.

  • At this time we will recognize some of our school's affinity groups that have been meeting this year.
  • We will celebrate our Black Student Union and the kick-off of Black History Month. There are many notable accomplishments from black people in history, and often times we focus on the most known accomplishments. We hope to broaden that understanding as we recognize black history this month and bring out even more of the beautiful and extraordinary accomplishments in black history.
  • There will be a sneak peek of the upcoming Lion King production.
  • We will introduce the canned food drive that begins this week.

Thank you for the comfortable space you provide. Whether it be a listening ear, a place to calm down, or a trusted presence nearby, you have a way of meeting students’ needs. Your ability to know your students and what they need is remarkable.

Thank you for being liaisons for students, families and staff.

Thank you for all you do! We don't know what we would do without you!
