The week of March 20th and the following Monday, March 27th will be reserved for Middle School Spring Conferences and March 22, 23, and 24 will be reserved for Elementary School Spring Conferences.

Spring Conferences are scheduled for students that are at-risk with non-passing grades or are not meeting satisfactory progress in their classes. Spring Conferences can also be scheduled for non-academic concerns such as inconsistent attendance, social-emotional concerns, or behavior concerns. Spring Conferences are an opportunity to connect and support our students with their needs.

A representative of our school or your classroom teacher will be reaching out in the coming days to schedule a conference with you. If you do not hear from anyone with regards to scheduling a conference, a conference was not deemed as necessary at this time. However, please continue to remain in contact with your student's teachers and continually connect with your student to gauge progress and standing in school at this time.

Statewide CAASPP Testing is soon upon us. Students in grades 3rd - 5th, 7th & 8th, and 11th & 12th will participate in CAASPP testing in-person at the Venture campus. Please see the CAASPP Testing Schedule for information on when your student will be participating in testing.

We encourage all of our students to put for their very best effort in testing. To help with this, we recommend getting a good night's sleep the night before testing days and eating a good breakfast each day. We will have a table of snacks available to any student that wishes to take a break and enjoy a snack while here.

If you have any questions with regards to CAASPP testing, please reach out to Margrette Wui, our school's Assistant Principal directly by email: mwui@srvusd.net.

Thank you for your support!

Hello, Parents and Caregivers!

You may remember that last month we emailed you to let you know that SRVUSD has partnered with COPE Family Services to offer a very special free series of Zoom seminars to our families who have been experiencing unusually challenging barriers to getting students to school consistently.

Once again, we would like to extend a VIP invitation for you to register for this free event and log on to watch or listen to the information COPE is able to share about ways to support your children with some of the challenges we are seeing come up for many families across the district.

There will be a series of these seminars once a month for the remainder of the school year, each with a new topic. If you want to mark your calendar, the next dates will be April 26 and May 24.

This month's topic is about social media, how it impacts young people, and what you can do as a parent - a topic that we hope you will find very helpful!!

COPE will not be recording, so if you are able to listen - even while driving or making dinner - we think it would be well worth your time to check it out. The flyer is attached and you can pre-register using the QR code or by going to bit.ly/SRVUSDseminars.

We hope to see you there!!

AND...Friday March 17 is a no student day, if you didn't know...

Leprechauns are actually one reason you're supposed to wear green on St. Patrick's Day—or risk getting pinched! The tradition is tied to folklore that says wearing green makes you invisible to leprechauns, which like to pinch anyone they can see.

If you have questions, feel free to schedule a meeting with Ms. Kruse through THIS link.
