Roosevelt High School Saturday School

Fall Semester – 2021/2022 School Year (Hours earned will be applied to Fall 2021 Semester courses)


Students needing to make up missed class time, due to excessive absences, have options to register on campus or online. All online registrations and payments must be successfully submitted no later than 4 PM on any given Thursday leading up to a scheduled Saturday School. An $8.00 payment is required before a student is allowed to participate.


Roosevelt HS is scheduled to conduct on campus Saturday School for attendance purposes on the following dates, from 8 AM to 1 PM:

January 8, 2022

January 22, 2022

February 5, 2022


Information and a link to register online will be emailed on the Monday prior to the scheduled Saturday School. The following submissions are required to successfully register for any given Saturday School:


  • Date of Saturday School student is registering for
  • Student ID#
  • Official Student Last Name
  • Official Student First Name


*When registering online, please know that your child’s online registration must be successfully completed before proceeding to the online payment link. Please be sure to read all instructions provided within the online registration and payment links. Once successful registration and payment are received, the registered student will receive an email notification in his/her North East ISD student email account on Friday leading up to a scheduled Saturday School.


Payments can also be made with cash in our AP Office.



All students must report on time (8 AM) and have enough work to last for 5 hours.

Extended Hours Tutoring

NEISD is offering extended hours tutoring from 6 - 8 PM, Monday thru Thursday evenings. Extended hours tutoring is available to all NEISD students, regardless of whether they are on quarantine or not. To ensure security, a student must log on to the virtual Google Meet link using their NEISD school email and password.

ASVAB testing is scheduled for February 9, 2022. Remember that it is important to study for this exam just as you would need to study for the SAT or ACT! While you cannot study for every possible question that might come up on the test, you can study so you are prepared for the types of questions and techniques for taking standardized tests. SAT for Juniors- March 23, 2022

We will have a free, on-campus SAT for JUNIORS on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. It is free for all Juniors who are coded as 11th grade in Skyward; there is no need to sign up. It will be on campus, and there are no virtual options to take this test at this time. This is the actual SAT, not PSAT, the one you can send to colleges for admissions if you are satisfied with your score. There are free resources available through the College Board website so be sure to make a College Board account now, if you haven't already.

Senior Cap & Gown Picture Retakes

Senior Cap & Gown yearbook picture re-takes have been scheduled for Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in Room L111. Retakes will begin at 8:30am and end promptly at 4:00pm. Ordering and payment information is included in the Lifetouch picture packet. Please make all payments online as Roosevelt High School does not collect any payments for Lifetouch. Alamo Promise Scholarship

  1. There are less than two months to get all three parts of the Alamo Promise application process taken care of! Alamo Promise is a scholarship through the Alamo Colleges which provides free tuition for a certification or Associate’s degree. You can also transfer the credits to a University to complete a Bachelor’s degree. Remember to complete these three steps before February 28th:

Cheer on the Spurs as they take on the Houston Rockets on February 4th starting at 7:30pm! The San Antonio Spurs will be hosting a night dedicated to Go Public, celebrating public schools in San Antonio. All NEISD community members are invited to join for this special night. Roosevelt Family Specialist

Melissa Mendiola is Roosevelt's Family Specialist. Her email is mmendi2@neisd.net. Ms. Mendiola is available to assist with any needs or issues in a student's home life that can negatively affect a student's ability to excel at school. She is able to provide support and services for all students and their families, creating a true connection between home, school, and community. The family specialist's role is to bridge the gap of communication between parents, the school, and the community and provide resources to families who are experiencing barriers, and to empower all parents to fulfill their role as child’s first teacher.

Important Policy Reminders- No Food Deliveries Allowed

Students are not allowed to have food deliveries to Roosevelt campus at any time (from Uber Eats, grub hub, restaurants, etc). Thank you for your understanding.

Cafeteria Update

All North East ISD Campuses will continue to serve free meals to all students in the 2021-2022 school year. Please note, each student is allowed one breakfast and one lunch. Any additional breakfasts or lunches will be charged to the student. Students without adequate funds will not be allowed to purchase extra items or meals.


Beginning October 1st, all cafeteria transactions will require a student ID number. Student ID numbers can be typed into the pin pad by the register or an ID card bar code can be scanned by the cashier. Students are asked to have their IDs ready to be scanned by the cashier for quick check out in the cafeteria lines. Thank you in advance.
