Mandatory Intervention Meeting: There will be an Intervention Team grade level meeting on Tuesday, August 28th at 8:00 AM in the media center. There are new things to discuss (kid-talk) and the Intervention Team will be available to answer questions.
PDPs and Observations: Please make sure that you have completed your Initial PDP and your training date/self-assessment entered by Friday, August 24th. This is true for ALL TRACKS. Please make sure you have “shared” or “marked complete” anything you complete so that there is a GREEN CHECK. The GREEN CHECK means we can see it and respond in NCEES. Otherwise, it shows that you haven’t completed the task.
Lunch Schedule: Click on Lunch Schedule for Track 2 OUT for the Track 2 Out Lunch schedule. It can also be found in the PUE Master folder.
In order to avoid eating in the classrooms, due to lack of safe coverage, Administration discussed a rotation schedule last year with Leadership Team. The rotation schedule is an option to avoid morning and afternoon duties and minimize the time required (i.e. longer TA coverage which minimizes classroom instructional availability) for duty while at the same time meet the needs for supervision with more classes to cover and less personnel to cover. Reasons included that the Office (office staff, admin, counselor, IRT) and any others available can’t always cover due to many factors, including sometimes the office area is short staffed and there are other areas being covered besides lunch during that time and the demand for coverage is greater due to the number of classes and the number of people needed cover at the same time etc.
It was requested in the rotation that teachers know “what day” they may be asked to cover rather than being surprised. So, your day is listed on the bottom of the schedule for that reason. It will vary each track due to the calendar and equity. The office staff will continue to cover as available and needed. Lunch coverage for teachers will be avoided, but if needed will range from 15-30 minutes. Those listed under “Friday” may be asked to cover on other days if needed due to more flexibility/modified calendars etc… but we hope to stick to Fridays. If you have comments or suggestions, please come by our offices to discuss.
