Mark's Monday Morning Memo

Art Room Supplies
The art room cupboards are low and the art teachers' budget is critical to rebuild supplies for their program. Please be aware that the art room supplies/cupboards are for the art program exclusively. Kristi can help you secure what you need for your classroom.
Good Bye and Good Luck!
Congratulations, good luck, and good bye to Jennifer Koskela and Kathy Collins. Jennifer will be moving to an academic support position at Glen Lake and Kathy will be supporting Alice Smith as a clerical para in the afternoon. Both will be leaving their playground/cafeteria positions but Kathy will still support Gatewood in the morning. Jennifer's last day is September 15 and Kathy's last day will be September 22.
Girls On The Run
Thank you to Lisa Schmid for organizing and to Vanessa Walters and Sara Lacey for helping with Gatewood's very own chapter of Girls On The Run! We're excited about this opportunity for our Gatewood Gators!
Come Meet The Neighbors!
The background photo was taken at the Djonk Art & Curiosity Shop, one of our neighbors across the street. They are partnering with another neighbor, Unmapped Brewing Co., this Saturday, September 16, from noon-4:00 making art more accessible. The MN Art Truck and its crew of artists will be present. One of the artists, Jonathan Bing, children's book author, will be reading from his book, "Jimmy Jonny Brownie," at 1:00 pm. So, come meet the neighbors, bring your families, gather with your colleagues, enjoy art, order food from other neighbors, and have an enjoyable Saturday afternoon.
KIND Assembly
Our first all-school KIND Assembly will take place this Friday from 3:00-3:30. We're still working out details but we want to encourage everyone to wear your KIND t-shirts that day and be ready for some energy and enthusiasm as we introduce KIND to our entire school.
