The Process....

Hi everyone,


The Annual Planning work is about to start as indicated by my update on Monday.


As preparation for this, we have been asked to gather a range of evidence.


The process has two 'arms'

1. Review of current priorities

2. Scoping what next priorities may be required (next steps)


This smore summarises what will be happening over the next two weeks


A major difference in methodology for collecting student voice, is in play, this year. I will send the material for this after this email.


Please email me if you have any queries. We have no meeting time scheduled together so have reverted to this format. I hope you can make sense of it


I have set aside 30/4, 4/5, 6/5, 7/5 from 8.00-8.25am to answer your questions face to face if required - just come to my office.

What has strengthened in relation to teacher inquiries?
What was the focus?
What evidence or analysis informed this choice of focus?
What has changed and strengthened – evidence to inform this?
How has this improved learning for kids?
What still needs attention in the future?


WHEN?: Dept Meetings - Wed 29 April / Wed 6 May

All staff

FOCUS: Student Voice - re Learning

PURPOSE: Possible next steps


We are asking staff to collect a small sample of student voice - 3 students. (a 'high achiever', a 'struggler' and a student who you might see as 'interesting'


I will provide the protocol and necessary material in a separate email (after this). I am conscious of time so you will see you have some flexibility in the amount of time you spend doing this.


You would bring this 'voice' to the Whole College Meeting on Monday 11 May to analyse with each other and look for patterns.
