Jack Anderson Elementary School Re-Entry Plan

An amazing first week at JAE

Thank you to all of our families for making this week so successful! Our routines and procedures were easy to practice, and it was nice for teachers to spend time with smaller numbers of students this week as we all get to know each other better. We are all looking forward to another wonderful week together.

Masks are Encouraged for Elementary Students, But Not Required

There will be no disciplinary measures for students who are not wearing masks. This is a family choice for students. The only reason for any consequences would be inappropriate use of a face covering; picture using it as a slingshot or friend-popping device.

Teachers and staff will not be responsible for masks. It is your child's responsibility to wear a mask and to keep up with it. Teachers will not be reminding students to wear masks. Please have these conversations with your children.

During the Sumner County Mask Order, Staff Members are required to wear masks while in the school building, unless there is an exclusionary condition.

Devices During Phase-In Hybrid Week

At this time, we will provide copies of assignments and activities if needed to students who do not have devices at home. Students will not be penalized for not completing online activities or assignments during hybrid phase-in.

In the future, if we are forced to learn remotely, devices will be provided for families in need of technology.
