GISD Comes Together To Support Local Family in Need

The generosity of our students and staff is incredible! The GISD family collected $3,900 for the local family who lost two precious children and all of their belongings in a house fire. These funds will help with funeral expenses to help lift some of the financial burden from the family.

Our students and staff came together and collected more donations today than in any previous jeans day. Campuses individually doubled and some even tripled previous totals . The biggest rock star for today is Gainesville High School who collected nearly $1,500!

Through their art classes, students followed guidelines to compete to have their artwork on the 2017 district Christmas card. The cards were first judged at the campus level, and then at the district level to see which artwork best represented GISD and would help us spread the holiday cheer this season.
