Important S1 closeout & S2 transition information
PARENTS AND STUDENTS
Due to our current hybrid/remote learning environment, we have made some alterations to how we are handling final exams. In the past, standardized final exams were given in the academic departments; however, this year teachers will have the flexibility to develop their own cumulative semester assessments. Possibilities could include traditional final exams or projects.
Below are some items to keep in mind during the designated final exam schedule, January 28th and February 1st.
*Please note: Students must check in with homeroom each day for attendance purposes.
- Students need to sign in to each block to take final exams. Once your student completes their exam for the given block, they may be dismissed from the Google Classroom.
Projects:
- Students should check with their teacher to see if they will be required to report to a Google Meet session during their exam block.
Parents and Students:
- Please refer to your teacher's Google Classroom as all pertinent final exam information will be published there.
- Make up finals will be done via office hours and scheduled by the teacher

REMOTE and HYBRID ATTENDANCE and STATUS
If your child is on the hybrid schedule but not present at school on their scheduled day, they will be marked absent for record-keeping purposes but should log-in remotely to their classes if possible.
As the second semester begins, please review your child's hybrid or remote status for accuracy in the Parent Portal. If it is indicated that your child is in a rotation group and you want them labeled as "remote" please contact your child's guidance counselor.
