May 21st

Dear Families,

I want to take a minute to thank each and every one of you for an amazing year. It's so hard to believe that we are in our third year as a school family. I don't know about you, but this year has felt so very different, and not just because we had a new principal. For the first time in a few years, we've felt a bit of normalcy. Our favorite parts of this year were being able to have families back in the building! We had lunch visits, classroom presentations, we even had a few grade level projects and presentations, PTO hosted two family book fair nights, students participated in clubs, our young actors and actresses performed their first musical for all of us to enjoy, just to name a few. We look forward to growing our opportunities to open our building to visitors throughout next school year.

Thank you for trusting your children with us. I hope you've felt supported and a part of a partnership in your child's education. We are blown away by the growth we've seen in our Knights this year. Our dedicated staff has worked extremely hard to help all our students be successful and grow.

As we prepare for our last week of school, we are so excited for the fun activities and events we have scheduled. We hope your students enjoy their last moments of this school year. While it's been a wonderful year, I'm sure they are so excited for a bit of a break. They've earned it! I hope your family has a great summer! We look forward to welcoming you back in August as we start the 2023-2024 school year. For all of those that have promoted 6th graders and will not be returning to Kings Town, thank you for sharing your students with us, it has been a privilege to be a part of their learning journey the past 3 years.

Together in education,

Nicole Randolph

A Message from the Nurses

As school is winding down and summer is quickly approaching, we are preparing to close our Health Room. If your student has a prescription medication, Epi-Pen, inhaler, or over-the-counter medication in the Health Room, please note that they must be picked up before school lets out for summer break. You may pick up medication any time on May 23rd, 24th, or 25th during school hours. Any medication left in the Health Room will be discarded at the end of the day, May 25th. Medications will be released to parents/guardians only and may not be transported by students.

If your child has daily medication or emergency medication in the Health Room, they will be receiving a packet of paperwork to be filled out over the summer. This paperwork will be needed to administer medications next school year.

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Lindsey Maxwell and Shannon Jones

We had such a fun time at our Kick Off to Summer Bash! Our students worked together to collect over 10,000 Knight Notes to earn this incentive as a school! We had 12 amazing staff members volunteer to be in the dunking booth, which was a big hit! Students listened to music, played volleyball, blew bubbles, drew with chalk and also received icey pops. Our students and staff had such a wonderful time. Congratulations to all our Knights for working so hard to be Respectful, Responsible, and Ready!
