1,000 Copies- We have extended all the copies that you will need. The restriction was temporary to find out where all of our copies were going. We now have an idea. Feel free to make your copies!

Microwave in the Teacher's Lounge- There is a concern that there is only one working microwave in the teacher's lounge. I will move my own personal microwave to the teachers lounge until we can get a second or third one donated.

Laminating Machine- I have ordered a new machine due to the other one being un-repairable. The new one will be by Cinthia in the Registrar's office. Hopefully it will be here soon!!!

This Week

Tuesday- TELPAS Rotations, Guiding Coalition, Jeans Day- Let's start the week right!

Thursday- Superintendent will speak at Pinkston High School after school (everyone invited)

Friday- School Dance

Data should already be in All in Learning. PLC will be the Data Dig this week. Make sure your data is in BEFORE PLC. Action Plans are due on Friday.

We will start collecting writing samples on 2/22!

Collaboration Menu

During our campus data walk last week, one of the things we discussed with the teachers and admin was building a collaboration menu for teachers to pull ideas from for their instruction. We are really excited to put this through to the teachers as you will have the option to take ideas as well as create ideas and share them with others across all content areas.

In the attachment included, it will provide you with each of the areas in which you can participate such as: vocabulary strategies, making a flipped PD, adding of video of you doing a best practice, completing a flipped PD, visiting another teachers' classroom, and writing a reflection of another teachers' video. Also included in the attachment, there are links that take you to each of the templates/links to folders to complete/see strategies and ideas.

There is also an incentive for participating in the Collaboration Menu. On the attachment, under each category, it tells you how many times you get your name in the drawing. At the end of each week, each teacher's name will go into the drawing for however many categories they have completed (it can be as many times as you do) and Cameron will draw 2 names for prizes such as: extended lunch, leaving an hour early, special parking spot, jeans day, etc. (IF YOU HAVE IDEAS FOR OTHER PRIZES THAT WE CAN GIVE AWAY, PLEASE LET ONE OF US KNOW AS WE ARE OPEN TO MORE SUGGESTIONS!)

If you create or complete a flipped PD, there will be a basket on Cameron's office door to which you will turn them in and one of the ILT members will sign off to give you credit.

Bulldog Support Staff of the Week

Ms. Reyna Leyva is our support person of the week. She goes out of her way to make sure that the students in FLS are supported. Ms. Leyva came to us later in the year and stepped right in. Thanks for all of your hard work M. Leyva!

Bulldog Teacher of the Week- Hernan Romero

Hernan is an exemplar of data driven. In his class, he is using data to determine which students will be pulled in small groups every day. He i getting creative and leveraging his top students to also lead small groups. He is always positive and a team player. We are lucky to have Mr. Romero!

Team Work Makes the Dream Work

The first grade team gets a leg up on their cumulative folders. It is rare you ever see them alone because they are the essence of "team."

Student Led

You see two small groups here. One is led by Mr. Romero and one is led by a student. Students who show mastery can be nominated to lead the small group. It was truly student driven. Nice work!
