The Lion's Share

November 2022

From the Principal . . .

Hi Lion Families,

Thank you all for the warm welcomes and smiles as I have transitioned to being the principal of Settler's Point Elementary. It was so awesome to see the love everyone had for Mr. Bircher as you wished him well in his new position. I probably won't learn names quite as fast, but I hope you will see how honored I am to be part of this community.

We have had some great events since I have arrived: the fall festival had an amazing turn out and I loved getting to meet many of you. Our 4th graders, led by our wonderful music teacher, Deborah Johnston, performed to honor Veterans, and our Donuts with Dad was a packed house.

I am looking forward to upcoming events and programs.

My favorite part has been being in classrooms and watching your children learn. Our teachers plan amazing lessons with strategies that impact student learning and growth. Seeing them learn is the best part of each day.

Each newsletter will include important information, so please scroll and read everything.

With many thanks,

Andrea Emerick
