What is CIPA?
CIPA is the Children’s Internet Protection Act that was enacted by Congress in 2000 and amended in 2008 under the “Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act.” CIPA has provided filtering guidelines for schools and libraries intended to protect students from access to content that can be harmful to minors in some way.
