NOVEMBER 2020 NEWSLETTER
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I can't believe that November has already arrived! What an amazing adventure these first few months have been. It is an incredible blessing to be surrounded by supportive and dedicated educators who show up each day to put students first! I appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into not only a safe return, but also providing the academic rigor we are used to seeing in Solon.
We are definitely stronger together!
Take care,
Mrs. Tabor
VIRTUAL PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES & REPORT CARDS
- P/T conferences will be on November 12 and 19 from 2pm-7pm
- All conferences will be virtual. You should have received a sign up genius and zoom link from your child's teacher. Let us know if you have any questions.
- Report cards will be sent home on Monday, November 9
FRIENDLY OFFICE REMINDERS
- Communication regarding absences and tardies should be sent to both the classroom teacher and Mrs. Arwine (school secretary).
- Please remind your child to check the lost and found for any of their items they may have misplaced. Items will be removed on November 6.
- Please keep sending water bottles to school with your student(s). Due to COVID, water fountains are still shut off in the building. However, the water filling stations are still operational.
- As we approach the colder months, please help remind your child(ren) to bring their jacket to school. Unless there is inclement weather, recess will be outside. It is important that students come to school with the proper outdoor accessories. Please label all winter clothing.
COVID-19 ILLNESS PLAN - REMINDER FROM MRS. ELIJAH
We ask that prior to sending your student(s) to school each day that you review the following questions. If the answer is yes to any of these questions, please keep your child home from school.
- Has your child had a fever or taken medicine for a fever in the last 24 hours?
- Is your child feeling ill?
- Has your child developed a cough in the past 24 hours?
- Has your child had any other symptoms of illness?
If you do keep your child home from school, please call the school to report their absence. When you do report an absence, the school will ask you a few questions regarding the symptoms your child is experiencing. Additionally, if you must leave a message, please share the reasons why your child is ill including the symptoms.
Health Information
If your child had developed any new health concerns since they last attended school, please contact the school nurse.
