Should you say no to veggies?
No Meat, No Nutrients
Vegans can't get lots of important nutrients. Human's are omnivores. We function best eating both plants and animals. One of these nutrients that vegans need to be concerned about is B12. It has a key role in the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system. It isn't found in any amount of plants. A couple other of these missing nutrients are, animal protein, creatine, carnosine, Docosahexaenoic acid. While a vegan diet can be cleansing and healthy in the short term, a vegetarian diet can be very unbalanced and damaging the body in the long term.
PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals) are strongly against any killing of animals and strongly for the vegan diet. They sales pitch consists a lot of heath talk and facts. They say, Vegans are, on average, are up to 20 pounds lighter than meat-eaters. Just like anti-vegan people say, they say fad diets leave you feeling tired and usually don't keep pounds off for long. On the animal preservation side they say each vegan saves 100 animals each year. PETA is just asking for fair treatment of animals.
