SMS Jag E-News
December 13, 2020
Hey Jags,
Can you believe that we only have one week left before a much anticipated Winter Break? This semester has definitely been like no other, but as we wrap up Fall 2020, there are so many things that we can celebrate and be thankful for. Here are just a few from the past week:
- Our theatre students performed their first virtual and face to face productions of the year and put a smile on our face as they showcased their incredible talent.
- Our football and volleyball teams finished out their seasons, and our 8th grade teams ended their seasons with wins reminding us what it means to persevere and work as a team.
- Our students, teachers and parents rallied together to donate to the food drive and the boxes were overflowing with canned goods on Friday. Our Jag Community showed up!
We are so proud of the work that our students are doing in and out of the classroom as they learn, collaborate, and give back to the community. We are #SartartiaStrong. We want to encourage everyone to participate with us in the annual Toys for Tots toy drive by donating an unwrapped gift and dropping it off to the front of the school by Thursday, December 17. Help us make sure that every child has a great holiday season!
Please remember to review this week's schedule for online and face to face students. Monday is a regular "Gold Day" but the schedule has been adjust for the remainder of the week to accommodate for exams in high school credit courses and our early release days on Thursday and Friday. Also, be sure to check out some of the opportunities listed below that are available for FBISD students over the break. We are looking forward to a great week and hope that all of our Jag families have an incredible holiday season!
Happy Holidays,
Cholly Oglesby
