It has been a great two weeks at PGE since our last update and having all our students learning face-to-face or online. The continuous support and flexibility from parents and guardians has been greatly appreciated! Let's continue ROCKING 'til the end of the semester!

We are having this for our students! THANK YOU so much to our wonderful counselor, Ms. Leah Harris, for organizing this special event for our babies. We will take lots of pictures however, we will not have any outside visitors this year. We're so sorry families! We are continuing to follow our COVID-19 protocols and keeping our students and staff safe. Thank you for your support!

Please ensure that if your child is not feeling well that you DO NOT send them to school. FBISD has very detailed protocols that our AWESOME nurse is adhering to. We want all of our students here and healthy but we need your support with this! Help us keep our students and staff well this season! See attached details.

FBISD Health and Safety Protocols

Re-entry into school following any of these symptoms: fever, runny nose/congestion, sore throat, cough, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell = 72 hours have passed AND parent presents either a doctor’s note stating alternative diagnosis (strep throat, Flu, allergies, etc) OR a Negative COVID-19 test result.

If the student is not cleared by the doctor with a note for return, or has not taken a COVID-19 test, the student must stay home until 10 days have passed since symptoms began.

Please note that instruction starts promptly at 8:10 a.m. Tardies will begin on Monday, October 12th! If you arrive after 8:10 a.m., please go to the front office for check-in. Thank you!

Regular Dismissal - Going smooth with our new protocols!

Rainy Day Dismissal - UPDATE - If we need to have a "rainy day" dismissal, ALL walkers will be released by the bike rack doors to a parent or guardian.

Please bring a CHARGED device daily if you are returning F2F if you'd like! If not, we have one here for all students to use!

School is officially in session from 8:10 - 3:25 p.m.! Protect our students and yield to all signs! Be careful!

Due to health and safety protocols, we will not have ANY visitors at this time. Thank you for understanding. We also will not be accepting any lunch or snack drop-offs at this time.

Please remember to send in any absence excuses! The same attendance rules apply for both virtual and face-to-face learning. You don’t want an invitation from the Truancy Diversion Program!

When is an absence excused?

· FBISD extracurricular activities

· Illness and medical appointments

· Required court appearances

· Religious holy days

· Activities related to obtaining United States citizenship

Submitting an Excuse Note

· Notes must be turned in no later than five days upon returning to school.

· Notes should be emailed to the school’s Attendance Clerk.

· A medical note can be scanned and emailed to the campus email attendancepge@fortbendisd.com or dewana.curran@fortbendisd.com

Excuse notes should always include:

· Student’s full name

· Student’s ID number

· Today’s date

· Date(s) of absence

· Reason for absence

· Parent contact information

PGE PTO is working to revise our operations to fit the current situation in our school and district. Many of the things that we would normally be doing are not possible right now and many other things have to be completely revised. While it will take us some time to work out the details, we are still here to support our students and staff in any way that we can! Membership and Spirit Shirts are two things that are at the top of our list. We are working to bring you information on those two topics as soon as possible. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions that you may have.
