CROWDSOURCING PLATFORM
InEuropa points out that the use of Slack, since the project started, has shown that cannot be a crowdsourcing platform, contrary to the original thoughts. Slack is a perfect communication tool for creating limited communities (where people register and are invited to participate), but it does not allow external audience to participate with feedbacks or reviews. This is a limit and does not respond to IO3 requirements. Testing Slack has been useful to know its potentiality and functionalities for restricted communities and its limits. Slack can still be used for BRAVE local groups as they are local communities. We propose to go on using it for these communication purposes.
A new crowdsourcing platform created on purpose for BRAVE (IO3) is required and examples of existing platforms are provided.
CARDET asks for feedbacks to be collected from partners about the platform to be created. From an ethical point of view, all partners are kindly asked to provide their feedback on this issue. EACH PARTNER IS KINDLY ASKED TO SEND AN EMAIL STATING THEIR POSITION AND EXAMPLES OF EXISTING PLATFORMS ON THIS ISSUE BY FRIDAY 20th April.
KMOP, SIF, FYG and ZENIT agree on this decision during the skype call confirming Slack as efficacious communication tool within the partners and for BRAVE participants.
A new platform like kickstarter or Indiegogo is to be created by CARDET (not using moodle!) as to be used by the participants in order to collect feedbacks from external audience regarding their ideas (as described in IO3).
CARDET will have an internal meeting on the 2nd of May and they will think how to design the platform and then will inform the partners making a proposal:
by the 2nd of May CARDET will send some proposal on the crowdsourcing platform and another Skype call will be organised.
KMOP reminds that we will need to create something that can be attractive for the public, on the basis of kickstarter platform, we need a platform where participants upload there ideas and gain feedbacks and comments from other people and from peers, something attractive and different from what already exists.
INEUROPA suggests to connect it with the BRAVE website in order to widen the impact and invites CARDET and SIF to be in touch for this.
CARDET is invited to make a proposal and present at least a demo version of the platform at the LTTA in Valencia, to be presented to the partners and to the participants. Thus, an ICT expert from CARDET is kindly invited to participate in the LTTA in order to present the platform and its functionalities. CARDET ICT expert is invited to produce a timeplan on the steps to be follow and timing for creating the platform and be in touch with SIF Website expert.
All present partners agree on this.
LTTA IN VALENCIA – PARTNERS’ TASKS FOR THE TRAINING
SIF and KMOP have made proposals and they will run Sprints 5 and 7:
SIF proposes the XFACTOR exercise during the LTTA. In groups participants have to present the added value of each canvas. We can pose this exercise after the work on the individual canvas, we have to think about how to organize it (Sprint 7). This could be done during the afternoon of the Thursday even outside is the venue is not available. People will be asked to work in group independently.
KMOP makes a proposal linked to role playing: unemployed usually don’t have soft skills and the activity deals with emotional intelligence, by putting people in other people’s shoes. It is a role-playing activity in which each person play a role in a specific situation and all the persons try to react and act taking into consideration the other people’s position and thoughts. It can be applied to very critical situations but also with easier situations having to do with job situations. If we make it with 6 groups of 5 people, it can take 1h30’. Sprint 5 - on Wednesday late morning
KMOP will test the game in Athens before applying it at the LTTA. They will need 2 lines of presentation/psychological profiles of the participants in order to have an idea of the people attending.
FYG proposes to collect and share a file with the photos and brief profile of each person (partners and participants).
INEUROPA invites SIF and KMOP to make a very short video presenting their methodologies for the LTTA as to understand the dynamics and also be able to prepare a programme with contents (ref. Sprints from 1 to 4)
KMOP asks of the 5 local meetings. INEUROPA replies that we will need to share contents and decide together what to do at local level. The meetings will be done also after the LTTA as a follow up. Some of the activities that we will begin in Valencia could be followed up at the local level (id. The hero’s journey poster can be taken home by participants and they can go on working on it supported by local partners).
KMOP also asks how can we be sure that participants will really take part in the LTTA.
INEUROPA replies that in Italy they will make people sign an agreement in which they agree that if they don’t come they will have to refund the organization
LOGISTICS:
FYG needs to know if participants can share rooms (double/triple rooms). It is important for each partner to be in touch with FYG on this as soon as possible.
CARDET will book the accommodation on their own
